Aim: To create 5,000 new sports facilities by 2026 to make sports accessible to everyone.

Launched on September 5, 2023, by the President, this initiative is a continuation of the extremely successful "5,000 Sports Fields" plan (2022-2023), which resulted in the funding of more than 5,500 sports fields nationwide. It also complements public policies designed to strengthen the link with the school environment, including the implementation of 2 hours of sports in middle schools and 30 minutes of Physical Activity and Sports (PAS) in primary schools.

Get up to 80% funding for your project.

A €300 million investment over three years has been made available to the French National Sports Agency to carry out this program.

Eligible for funding:

- Sports fields

- Active and sporty schoolyards

- Major facilities (fitness areas, swimming pools, gyms, etc.)

Schoolyards at all levels, from primary to university, will be redeveloped to encourage physical activity among students.

Between 2024 and 2026, the plan aims to build 5,000 new sports facilities, including 3,000 local facilities, 1,500 active and sports-oriented schoolyards, and 500 major sports infrastructure projects.

All territories can apply for funding. However, projects located in disadvantaged areas will be prioritized. Disadvantaged areas are defined as follows:

- Urban areas: projects situated in Priority Urban Policy Zones (ZUP) or their immediate vicinity. At least one-third of the projects must be located in or near Priority Urban Policy Zones (ZUP).

- Rural areas: projects located in rural revitalization zones (ZRR), or in a municipality that is part of an inter-municipal authority which has signed a Rural Recovery and Ecological Transition Contract (CRTE), or in a living area where at least 50% of the population resides in a ZRR.

- Overseas territories.
